Meet the Team

Jan

Jan Halpin

Co-Founder

Jan has been successfully bridging the needs between nonprofit and for-profit businesses for over 30 years in her nonprofit management career. Her areas of expertise including fundraising, campaign planning and management, and volunteer leadership development.

As former CEO of the Loudoun County YMCA in Leesburg, VA, she instituted organizational and financial development programs that established stability, rapid growth, and emergence as a leading community agency. She held senior management positions in Frederick, Maryland and with the Phoenix-based Valley of the Sun YMCA.

Jan has worked with many organizations to help develop both annual and long-term capital fundraising strategies, build their infrastructure, enhance Board development, and provide strategic planning. Throughout her career, Jan has brought best practices in each of the areas to the clients she has served, and has learned that "one size does not fit all." Each organization is different in culture, needs, and experience. Through her work with various clients and their unique circumstances, she has developed skills in multi-faceted funding structures such as local, state, and federal government, and foundations, corporations, and individuals.

Julie Iacobelli

Co-Founder

Prior to joining the field of nonprofit consulting, Julie spent over 17 years working with underserved youth, children that have been victims of sexual abuse, and persons with a mental illness in New Mexico and Arizona. She has experience in leading, directing and transforming organizations through sound business practices and by developing and utilizing staff and volunteers. During her last tenure as CEO for Communities In Schools of Arizona, she increased program delivery from eight to one hundred ten schools.

Julie’s consulting experience includes work on Board and organizational development, strategic planning, developing fundraising plans and building fundraising departments, and capital and annual giving campaigns. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Kearney, where she received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing followed by an MBA.

Dedication to the community is an important part of Julie’s personal life. She has served on many boards, coalitions, and task forces and is a graduate of Valley Leadership Class XXVI. Past awards include being named Executive Director of the Year by the Organization for Nonprofit Executives (ONE).
